The proposed facility is a step in the right direction for improving the appearance of the South Side. The current shops offer a one-of-a-kind local experience, but if casino visitors and students are turned off by South Side's rough edges - bad parking, crumbling façades, cracked sidewalks - they'll miss out on all the South Side has to offer. A mutual respect between students and the police needs to be instilled, but this is not going to happen if students feel they are disrespected. Bad feelings between the Bethlehem police and students needs to change. (0) comments
Take the time to enjoy the most out of these years and make them last. We're all in this together, and we only have a few years to spend with each other, so why not help each other out and make them worthwhile. (0) comments
To steer away from being overly dramatic and pigeon-holing one another, students should learn the positives of both the community and its members: the local restaurants, First Fridays, the Yoga Loft, the South Side Initiative and much more. (0) comments
