For my last column, I struggled to find the perfect Bethlehem hotspot that was worthy of my final review. I didn't want to end it all with merely a mediocre place to get lunch. I wanted to go out with my hunger pangs gone and my taste buds content.

We've hit the breakfast burritos at Sunrise Valley Donuts, the mutz at Hometown Heroes and the waffles at Bonté. We've experienced the soup of Confetti Café, the lassi at Nawab and we've prayed for In-N-Out Burger to come East.

Someone had recommended that I do a write-up on Blue Sky Café on East 4th Street. In my mind, the café was a pretty popular spot amongst the Lehigh crowd. To my surprise, as I asked around about Blue Sky, only a small percentage of students actually knew what I was talking about. I think it would be a tragedy for anyone at Lehigh to go four years without experiencing Blue Sky Café.

Regardless of whether or not you're a frequent customer or have never tried the Blue Sky cuisine, the place is a phenomenal spot to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Blue Sky Café is famous for its utter mastery of breakfast. On its menu, one side is devoted to lunch and dinner, while the other is dedicated entirely to breakfast. From create-your-own omelets, to frittatas, to breakfast quesadillas, to the untouchable "Banana Bourbon French Toast," the café has anything you could ever want to satisfy your breakfast needs.

As for lunch and dinner, they have an extremely broad menu that covers all the bases. The burgers, sandwiches and salads are all delicious, but its specialty wraps are above all. My personal favorite is known as "Jim's Favorite," a medley of roasted turkey breast, hot peppers, melted cheddar, tomato, spinach and black beans, with Cajun mayo to top it off. Its sweet potato fries serve as a side dish, and are absolutely unbeatable.

Even better, Blue Sky Café recently extended its hours. Tuesday through Thursday it's open until 9 p.m., while Friday and Saturday it's open until 10 p.m. All in all, Blue Sky Café is one of the best places around Lehigh to grab a bite, whether or not you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's extremely well-rounded and good at everything they do. If you haven't stopped in, I recommend you become a regular as soon as possible.

Sounds good- any place that specializes in French Toast is my kind of place. I found your columns very entertaining and informative this year. You put Sunrise Valley Donuts on the map, and you caused a stir in the board room of In and Out burgers. (Continued…)

I just ate lunch at this establishment and actual laughed when I saw there was a review on it. Slowest service of life. 30 minutes to seat us despite the fact that tables were open, just hadn't been cleaned. (Continued…)

I had the same experience as Martha. A friend told me to eat here, so I tried it. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. If you really must, eat right before you go. (Continued…)
