Man stabbed in Bethlehem's first murder in two years

Ezequiel Dejesus, 24, of 628 N. Lumber St. in Allentown was found dead on Hilton Street in Bethlehem last Thursday, according to a press release from the Bethlehem Police Department.

Police were called to the scene after someone reported seeing a man laying in the backyard of the home.

Dejesus was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest.

The event has been ruled a homicide and the investigation is ongoing.

Police said as more information becomes available it will be released.

This is the first homicide in Bethlehem in more than two years.
